chlorine salt water swimming pool booksOne of the latest trends in cooling off is building a salt-water pool, or converting your traditional pool to one with a salt water system. They are just like ordinary pools, but with the addition of salt and chlorine generators. While the pools still have chlorine, the difference is that the salt system makes the chlorine naturally, eliminating the need to constantly buy and add chemicals (chlorine.) It is not salty tasting like the ocean, and much softer on the skin and more gentle on the eyes. While the initial cost is higher, the long-term savings and benefits are becoming more than just a passing fad.
