From contemporary chairs, to modern kitchen accessories to colorful hard drives, Karim Rashid is everywhere. But who would have guessed the ubiquitous designer would now be creating hotels? Not hard to imagine given the talented man’s creative vision. As we have written before, in Decorators Dish, Rashid’s goal is “release the modern world from nostalgia, antiquated traditions and old rituals…”
This is pretty obvious when viewing the Semiramis Hotel, in trendy Kifissia Greece. This destination hotel is spot on in its mission to “create positive energy through the use of culture, art and design.” The hotel is swathed in tinted glass walls, psychedelic fabrics, and a pool to rival all of South Beach. A true design marvel.
