Two Chicago designers have created a walk-in design studio for the design savvy consumer. The perfect source for people who have a vision for their home or a honed sense of style but don't have access to resources that are "to the trade only." They offer contemporary wallpapers, textiles, window treatments and architectural elements from well known vendors as well as some not yet discovered artisans. Out of town customers, not fortunate enough to be able to visit this must see studio, can order online or over the phone with accurate measurements. Know, however, that many items are not on web, so a visit to the studio is a must when visiting Chicago.

These designs have never been in your grandmother's guest room. These hand screened wallcoverings are very cutting edge and take wallpaper out of the staid cabbage rose phase. Some designs remind us of a 70's Peter Max print, while others, such as "Stanley" have bolder geometrics. In any case, these are fresh, hip and fun. Price reflects the hand made aspect but custom colored grounds are not extra.
The Spring 2007 Collection; ranging from the kitschy scratch and sniff Bananas pattern, to the mod Sakura floral pattern, to the "refined rockstar" influence of the Nouveau Riche pattern.

Farrow and Ball, a refined, high quality line of paints and wallcoverings, offers colors and finishes with extraordinary depth and richness. Their dedication to quality is demonstrated by the fact that they do not let anyone else mix their paints, only the F&B master craftsmen. Their palatte is sophisticated and versatile, with a much higher pigment content than other paint brands, assuring visibly greater color depth. The F&B wallpaper is made using environmentally friendly water based paints using traditional techniques. Their patterns are block printed and stripes and stries trough printed. The website allows you to shop by color, pattern or swatch book.
