In this time compressed society, it seems like everyone wants an expedited way to decorating. In the era of I love Lucy, the dinette set was an example of success for middle America. Now, one-stop shopping has gotten a bad name. But if the amount of "where to buy requests" for Carrie Bradshaw's living room from the "Sex and the City" movie is any indication, we are moving back to a new, improved era of Levitz shopping. Because, we are blinkdecor, and believe in linking our design enthusiast readers to fabulous products and resources in the "blink of an eye."
Here is our our 2008 version of the pre-fabbed living room. Our room is donned with a beautiful, Blue Fontana Arte chandelier by Emmerson Troop. The sofa is a design by the home furnishings company, Kravet, more commonly known for their fabrics. The Opus sofa is available in over 60,000 upholstery fabrics, however, we prefer a neutral colorway. We love the idea of keeping the throw pillows consistent with the sofa, especially if one is to couple with these gorgeous retro, mod wing chairs, available at Downtown.
The mongolian lambswool poufs from Coup d'etat in San Francisco, add texure and warmth to the room. The sofa really shines with the juxtaposition of the Robsjohn Gibbings side tables, available at Capitol Furnishings. It brings some interest to the living room to include the Fat Chance coffee table with the other more traditional furnishings. Lastly, the femininity of the Moses Ice rug in silk and wool by the The Rug Company is a welcome invitation to enter our chic, yet timeless living room.
