Designers Connie Lam and Michael Sedlacek have created an amazing selection of unique furniture pieces out of their Brooklyn, NY studio. Lamacek, a modern collection of authentic, handmade steel furnishings, beautifully juxtapose rugged materials with contemporary, streamlined design. The one-of-a-kind bubble screen is a fabulous representation of their work, and retails for $4,800. A highlight from their Hand-hammered series includes a bench (price $2,900) that features pounded steel tiles resembling slate. For a modern take on mosaic design, the duo has designed a novel series of tables that combine hand polished stainless steel tiles with colored glass.
