Decorative conversation pieces

map decorative balls

I am admittedly challenged when it comes to accessorizing my home. I love doing the big things: furniture, lighting, and color schemes, but when it comes to putting on the final touches I lack all creativity. I know what I like and dislike, it’s just that I lack the patience to place things just so- and even worse to shop for them. When I came across these decorative globes from The Conran Shop it was a eureka moment. I am so tired of seeing those shell balls ( see I don’t even know what the technical term is) I could die. Lets just hope everyone doesn’t get these as it is nice to be somewhat unique when accessorizing.

While the house is in Sussex, England, it portrays Danielle de Lange’s , owner of the Style-files, love of Scandinavian Design. This clean, simple, approach to decorating a vacation or beach home really resonates with us. It demonstrates the pure use of light, color and simple lines to create a soothing environment, what more could you want or desire in a second home.

Keep the kids safe-buy green

When choosing to keep or change your home to be environmentally friendly, one should really begin with the children. I have started cleaning my kids bath tub with an all natural cleanser Greenwood Naturals made by EO Products.. Who wants them soaking in harmful, often toxic residues. See Green Your Home for tips on keeping a green home. A natural progression would be organic bedding and green furniture that uses non-voc paints. One site I came across satisfying all my needs was Pixel Organics.
